Growing Up Wild: Exploring Nature with Young Children: A Workshop for Educators - Wolf Creek Environmental Center - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m Both formal and non-formal educators are encouraged to attend Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children --Project WILDs early childhood education curriculum. Like traditional Project WILD, the curriculum builds on the learning styles and interests of young children (ages 3 to 7) to foster an interest in and appreciation of wildlife and the natural world around them. A variety of activities builds positive impressions of nature while aiding childrens cognitive growth and development. This workshop is designed for anyone who works with young children and wants to teach youngsters about wildlife conservation using fun activities. Lunch is not provided. Brown bagging is strongly encouraged to avoid having to leave the workshop at lunchtime. Ages 16 and up. Register by Monday, January 23. Free.
